Lelouch Vi Britannia, protagonist of Code Geass. This anime tells the story of an ancient holy kingdom, witches, and magical powers. Lelouch was expelled and exiled from his own kingdom by his father, the king of the British Empire. He opposed all ideas of tyranny and decided to form a rebellion. After finding a witch, she obtained supernatural powers from Geass. This power allowed him to make anyone follow his orders for a time to a certain extent.
Armed with superior intelligence and Geass, Lelouch slowly begins to take over his father’s entire kingdom. This anime is brilliant, and if you are someone who loves mind-twisting strategies, shocking attack methods, and just great tactical combat, then this is the show for you. Lelouch is a great protagonist and is considered to be one of the smartest characters in all anime. But being the smartest doesn’t mean he will always be on top. There are lots of characters who can outsmart and beat Lelouch. Here is a list of the top ten anime characters who can beat Lelouch.
10. Yagami Light
At number 10, we have Light Yagami. Perhaps the smartest character in all of the anime, Light would easily sweep Lelouch off his feet. Light has a strong Death Note. All he had to do was get the name Lelouch, and he’d be done. Light is able to outsmart people like L, and L is not someone who can be tricked or defeated easily. This one is sure to be a brain over muscle battle. But we believe Light will just sit at his desk, find out Lelouch’s name and finish the battle before it starts.
At number 9, we are none other than Goku. Goku can only speed up attacks, Lelouch. However, he had to pay attention to those eyes. But once he entered Super Saiyan Mode, his strength and speed increased very rapidly. He even has a certain amount of magic resistance that gives him the edge over Lelouch. With enough power to destroy an entire planet, we doubt the battle between Goku and Lelouch will last long. Since the two of them come from separate universes, measuring their strength and comparing them is a difficult task. But even the dead Goku can come back to life to fight. And since Lelouch can only use it on a person once, Goku will eventually come out on top.

If we take Saitama’s speed and physical strength into account, we can easily see how a match will turn out. Let’s assume Lelouch can gain control. But Saitama could easily crush the Earth beneath his feet or accelerate it with one hit before he uttered any orders. Truth be told, the match between the two would be interesting because, with Lelouch’s intelligence, the battle might only be in his favor. Saitama wasn’t really known as a smart person. So Lelouch can take the victory with his brains and calculate his Geass usage. Even so, Saitama is a satirical character. He was made invincible, to begin with. So it only makes sense that he comes out on top.
7. Sosuke Aizen
The battle between the two will be tortuous. Both characters are known for their super sharp mystical powers and intelligence. If Lelouch can use his Geass to get someone to do his bidding, Aizen can display an illusion. Zanpakuto Kyoka Suigetsu Aizen has absolute control over all of the enemy’s senses. A situation can arise where Lelouch manages to control Aizen only to be stabbed in the back to find out that it is all an illusion. If that’s not enough, he has Hollow troops and Espada to unleash in Lelouch. He couldn’t possibly handle them all at once since the Espadas themselves were some of the strongest creatures in all of Bleach. The match between the two is sure to be interesting, but it’s easy to see how Aizen will win here.
6. Gojo Satoru
Gojo is said to be the strongest character of Jujutsu Kaisen. It will be a war between two powerful magic users. If Lelouch can control people, Gojo can completely deflect and control space-time with his abilities. In addition, he usually wears an eye patch, and Lelouch’s powers require direct eye contact in order to function. Gojo can rotate the space and time around Lelouch before he moves, and with his eyes closed, Geass Lelouch is basically useless. The Gojo did this battle with ease.
5. Itachi Uchiha
Another one with extraordinary visual power, Itachi’s Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, would make a very good match for Geass Lelouch. It will go back to being a battle of brains and tricks. While Lelouch can influence his enemy only once in one particular way, Itachi can use means beyond imagination. He can place Lelouch in the infinite Tsukuyomi when they make eye contact. Lelouch won’t even get orders before being put into a genjutsu. And then Itachi was able to release Amaterasu on his immobile body and turn him into ashes instantly.
From the parody anime The Disastrous Life of Saiki K, this man finds new strength every day. He really is a weirdo who always wears green glasses. He can curse people with eternal misfortune and influence time and space without realizing it. Being a parody character gives Saiki the edge because he will probably beat Lelouch without realizing it and in the funniest way possible. It will be sad for Lelouch but generally really funny.
3. Kaname Tosen
Another strong character from the Bleach series. Tosen wins by default because he is blind. Geass requires direct eye contact in order to take effect. And naturally, it would be useless against a blind enemy. Tosen is also a soul, so it’s almost impossible for Lelouch to see it in the first place. Pair that with his unmistakable powers, and we have a combo that even Lelouch couldn’t dream of beating.

At number 2, we have Mob from Mob Psycho. Mob wins because of his psychic prowess. Since Geass affects people on a psychic level, Mob, with his very strong psychic abilities, can easily ignore Lelouch’s orders. He could even destroy a large part of the world with his abilities if he let it run wild. Because he has mental abilities that generate physical strength, it becomes difficult for Lelouch to take him down. In addition, he could astral project himself, letting his soul escape his own body. He can also enter other people’s bodies and minds in this state, which gives him the edge over Lelouch. In his completely disengaged form, Mob became an absolute monster releasing all of his strength, which far surpassed the power of any other Esper. In this state, he can destroy anyone and anything in his path. If he angers Mob, Lelouch has no chance of winning.
And finally, at number 1, we have Truth from Fullmetal Alchemist. Forget about gods, Saiyans, and other infinite energy characters. Truth is the universe itself. He is the manifestation of all existence. To fight him, Lelouch needs more than just Geass power.
In the first place, he needed strong alchemical knowledge just to come face to face with this entity. But with his intelligence, we can assume that he can achieve that. Even so, his Geass wouldn’t function on Truth because he wasn’t completely human. He didn’t seem like he had eyes, nor was he bound by physics rules like distance.
Truth looks like a person’s form, but in reality, he is just a seemingly empty being without a real physical body. And there is no way to kill the Truth. No, unless you are Zeno destroying the universe like a god. Even that seems like a very remote possibility.
With all said and done, Lelouch might get a lesson in alchemy and life. And then, before he knew it, the Truth would take his body and life. Or, at the very least, he would take his Geass and render him helpless. That would be Lelouch’s worst punishment.
