The boys vs girls episode was unique, with 12 Indian Idol judges cheering their team on. While Anu Malik supports girls, Manoj Muntashir supports boys. This episode’s promo shows the judges pushing their teams, raising all the anticipation. The episode, which looked like a battle, did not generate any criticism with the contestants aggressively stating that the competition on stage was created just for competition.
The episode featured a fierce competition with Shanmukha Priya, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble and Anjali Gaikwad representing the girls, and Pawandeep Rajan, Mohammad Danish, Sawai Bhatt, Nihal Taro and Ashish Kulkarni, representing the boys. While Kailash Kher’s ‘Saiyyan’ saw Sawai Bhatt light up the stage from the boy’s side, Lata Mangeshkar’s song ‘Tu Chand Mein Chandni’ was equally rewarding. To draw the curtains on this highly anticipated episode, the judges were very impressed with the sportsmanship of the participants, and announced the tie between the boys and girls, not holding each other back. The episode also witnessed a dance battle between Aditya Narayan and Anu Malik.
In recent episodes, the judges have prioritized announcing the 2 contestants with the most votes this week. While for the previous week, Pawandeep and Arunita were both on top, Pawandeep continued to hold on to this week’s position. Arunita lost ground, paving the way for Sawai Bhatt for second place.
The show airs at 9:30 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Now that the voting line has been opened, here’s how you can vote for your favorite Indian Idol contestant.
