The third installment of the Paddington light comedy series is officially in the works. It has been four years since the second series entered. Now, we’re ready again to see our favorite anthropomorphic bear adjust his new life to humans. Michael Bond’s Paddington character begins with the 2017 film of the same name directed by Paul King who also directed the sequel. Apart from the first two films, this franchise also spawned a TV series. All feature Ben Whishaw as the titular character. This franchise has been praised for its charming and family-friendly nature matched with an impressive sense of humor making it a watch of fun.
The Paddington franchise follows the story of a young Peruvian bear with its first film. The bear named Paddington moves out of the forest in search of a new home. In his search for a new home, he discovered the city of London. She found herself lost at Paddington station until the Browns found her and offered her a new home. The sequel follows Paddington deciding to take a job so he can save enough money for his aunt’s 100th birthday. So, without further ado let’s have a look at the news on Paddington 3 that is now officially in the works.

Paddington 3 – News
This information comes directly from Variety. Studio Canal representatives in an interview with them officially announced that the studio was working on the third part for Paddington. The representative quoted that the studio is working very hard on the third part with diligence and attention, just like the previous two films. On the other hand, in a similar interview on BBC Radio’s “The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show,” Hughe Boneville also teased about Paddington’s third film. The star playing Henry Brown quotes that there is momentum ahead and his project is “somewhere on the horizon.”
There is still not much information that can be disclosed about Paddington 3 according to the Representative. But yes, this studio is once again hand in hand with David Heyman’s Heyday Movies. While Paul King won’t be directing a third sequel for Paddington, he will still be there to fill in for several other roles. Until now, King has been busy with Warner Bros’s Wonka, a story about the origin of Willy Wonka’s character.

Release Date, Cast and Predictions
As the representatives mentioned, there isn’t much information yet. So, that doesn’t mean we can’t predict right? So moving in that direction we believe that Paddington 3 might be released somewhere in late 2o22 or maybe early 2024. Mainly given the fact that the move is already in production. But, we can’t count on that because Paul King might look like he’s making changes. Although not directing, he is still part of the third installment. Plus, he carried the first two successful films on his shoulders. King is working consistently on the origin story of Willy Wonka which also speculates it will come in 2023, so expect him to make changes. This may result in a slight movie delay. We really can’t say it like now.
On the other hand, we hope to see the original cast return. Since being mentioned from Boneville, he will probably reprise his role as Henry Brown. Also, we are looking forward to seeing the Brown family return too. These may include Sally Hawkins in her role as Mary Brown, Madeleine Harris as Judy Brown, and Samuel Joslin as Jonathan Brown.
Also, how can we forget the central titular character right? Yes, we are definitely looking forward to seeing Ben Whishaw return to voice Paddington’s voice. She has done phenomenal work in films as well as TV series. So he’s probably not going anywhere. We might also expect cameos from Aunt Lucy voiced by Imelda Staunton and Uncle Pastuzo voiced by Michael Gambon. Since the last film saw them briefly with Paddington working hard for his aunt, we might see them making cameos to support him in his next adventure.
As for criminals, we couldn’t immediately tell if we were honest. We previously saw Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant receiving awards for the first two films. For the third film, we might just want to sit back and watch. Because it’s an honor to be the bad guy in a series of heartwarming films. The sweet plot only makes it hard to be the bad guy
There are, however, fewer details about Paddington’s third installment. All we know is that a new director will take over that chair. Paul King will fill in the shoes for a new part of filmmaking. Plus, Studiocanal is teaming up with Heydey’s films for one more trip with the Paddington franchise. We’ll keep you updated on Paddington 3, so stay tuned for Otakukart.
