Return to Season 1
So, in the early season of the show, we were introduced to an application called Love Alarm, It will help you find your soulmate. Think about it, what if you could find the love of your life just by crossing the street or enjoying a croissant at a coffee shop? Sounds subtle doesn’t it? That’s a miracle Love Alarm. Basically, this app lets you know when someone around you is in love with you. The story, as it goes, follows a love triangle, which brings with it unresolved problems and a series of heartbreaks, which make people question the pros and cons of the app. This has become a controversial talk in the city about whether the app is necessary and necessary or not.
We were introduced to the female protagonist of the show, Kim Jo-jo. He has a terrible secret that cannot be revealed – a secret about the death of his parents. Orphaned, he lives with his aunt and cousin Gool-mi. But Kim Jo-jo lost love. Considering the circumstances surrounding the death of her parents, Kim Jo-jo’s aunt had a strong sense of hatred towards her. Even though her aunt had given her a home and paid for her school fees, more than that, she had no affection for Kim Jo-jo. Gool-mi is dangerous too. He was popular at school and had a habit of stealing things from other people. When Hwang Sun-oh started school, his hatred for Kim Jo-jo increased greatly. Hwang Sun-oh is a model who has lived in the US for the past two years. He is a very popular and handsome guy, and once he starts school, all the girls will be fixated on him. But she is attracted to Kim Jo-jo, who doesn’t treat her like other girls, and ends up falling for her. But what complicates the equation is that Lee Hye-yeong, his best friend too, has loved him, for a very long time.
Meanwhile, in the city, an application named Love Alarm has become a hot topic, telling its users how many people, within a 10m radius are in love with them. The show basically takes place in two time frames – one during their school days, while the other takes place 4 years later. How was season 1 ending?
As we move towards the end, we see Kim Jo-jo stuck in a dilemma when the two men decide to put their feelings in front of her. Back in school days, when Kim Jo-jo and Hwang Sun-oh got together, Lee Hye-yeong had decided to swallow her feelings and never let Kim Jo-jo find out. But now, when the two were separated, she wanted to give her love a chance and wanted Kim Jo-jo to know about how she felt about him. Kim Jo-jo tried to convince Hwang Sun-oh that he had moved on, and the reason for their separation was genuine. But he wasn’t sure because he knew he still loved her. So she challenged him to sound the alarm in front of Lee Hye-Jeong and him.

But that invited another problem for Kim Jo-jo. Years ago, when she decided to hold back her feelings, Duk-Gu gave her a shield application. When someone activates it, they have to give up their freedom to disable it, and only the app developer can do it on your behalf. If he failed to find the developer, he wouldn’t be able to analyze whether or not the decision he made was right. Without it, she would be surrounded by doubts in her heart whether she had feelings for the person she didn’t choose. Kim Jo-jo was seen stuck in the hallway with Hwang Sun-oh and Lee Hye-yeong. Her love alarm indicates that the two people around her are in love with her. Before he can react any further, we run into Duk Gu aka Brian Chon, the developer Love Alarm application. We know that he didn’t kill himself and just disappeared from everyone’s sight. He has come up with an improved version of his application called Love Alarm 2.0.0 Update It has been designed to be more advanced and let users know who they will fall in love with over a period of time. Because Kim Jo-jo failed to see Duk Gu, he couldn’t set the alarm. So now, with both men falling for her, who would Kim Jo-jo choose?
The show’s early season ends on a cliff hanger where we’re not sure what will happen next. In order to get a definite answer on who Kim Jo-jo will vote for, we will have to wait a little longer as Netflix will be releasing the second season of the show soon. Love Alarm based on the famous webtoon, published under the same name. But it is absolutely impossible to predict the further story of the Netflix series because it has a slightly different approach. Although the basic story is the same, this series has a more complicated depiction. But that hasn’t stopped us from speculating about a relationship that will be discussed over the next season.
Who will Kim Jo-jo choose in Season 2?
Obviously, when fans sent in Kim Jo-jo and Hwang Sun-oh, there was no doubt that the two would end up together. The two of them from the blooming stage of love have shared a very friendly and warm affinity with each other. And don’t forget, even when Kim Jo-jo chose to break up with him, he still loved her. Not belittling Lee Hye-yeong and her charms, she has always been kind to Kim Jo-jo and the fact that her feelings have not changed towards him. He chooses to take a back seat when he finds out how his best friend feels towards the girl he loves. The second season might also change and Kim Jo-jo might end up choosing Lee Hye-yeong. Four years is a long time and these people aren’t teenagers anymore. It is possible that Kim Jo-jo has grown out of his sweet love for Hwang Sun-oh and may think of Lee Hye-yeong as his lover. With no Love Alarm to tell him which option was right for him, it would be a confusing situation for him.
Starring Kim So-hyun as Kim Jo-jo, Jung Ga-ram as Lee Hye-young, and Song Kang as Hwang Sun-oh in the lead role Love Alarm Season 2 will begin streaming on Netflix on March 12, 2021.
