Justice League 2017 was originally directed by Zack Snyder. But he had to leave because of a family tragedy, so his role was filled by Marvel director Joss Whedon. After its release, it was later discovered to have made significant changes to the original. This led to many fans calling for the release of the internet myth “Snyder Cut”. And nearly three years later, fans got what they wanted because that dream is now almost a reality. Initially, returning to DC Fandome, these re-cuts were announced to be out in four one-hour installments. But later, this was turned into a four-hour R-Rated film. That will feature an additional 150 minutes of previously unseen footage and four minutes of photography. Justice League Zack Snyder will premiere on HBO Max on March 18, 2021.
Zack Snyder has been leaking his new trailer for quite some time. It started with 3 Black and White Justice League posters with the titles Fallen, Risen, and Reborn. This was followed by more teasers last week, who revealed footage of Black Suit Superman and Darkseid. We even got a glimpse of Jared Leto’s new look as the Joker. This is revealed in a series of black and white pictures of Joker Leto earlier in the week.
At first glance, many feel that the trailer doesn’t look any different from the original 2017 film. But there are clearly a few things that will force us to raise eyebrows. This trailer isn’t just a sneak peek of what fans will see when the film comes out on HBO Max. But it also features the confusing changes made to the film by Joss Whedon. Snyder had 100% control over photography along with a few months of post-production and VFX in 2016. But the re-shoot took film in a very different direction and deviated completely from Snyder’s vision.

The final trailer reveals some truly epic scope of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Because it shows something, we hadn’t seen it three years ago. This includes Steppenwolf kneeling before Darkseid, Joker Jared Leto’s first reveal, along with the future of Knightmare. There seem to be even more clips of Batman in leather, Cyborg, and even Flash suits.

Ray Porter as Darkseid will be a part of this film now. And as always wanted, he will be shown as a crime lurking behind the scenes. He will now be shown multiple times and will control Steppenwolf’s attacks on Earth. Diana even saw an ancient mural depicting her coming into the past. A flashback will show us how Darkseid led an army of parademons against the Greek gods. During this time, we will be watching the pre-Darkseid version, Uxas. We’re sure to take a deeper look at the dynamics between Steppenwolf and Darkseid.
At the end of the trailer, we catch a glimpse of the Joker Jared Leto as he talks to Ben Affleck’s Batman. In short order, we have Leto say the words, “We live in society.” And although no Joker has ever said it, this phrase immediately trended on Twitter because it is a meme that Joquin Pheonix’s Joker often targets. The Joker appears in Knightmare Future, where he is seen wearing a bulletproof vest as he talks to Knightmare Batman.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League will dive deeper into the “Knightmare Future” storyline. Bruce first experienced this in Dawn of Justice: Batman v Superman. In his dream, Bruce gets a hunch in which he is leading a rebellion in the dystopian desert against Superman, who is the bearer of Darkseid’s evil news. But when he wakes up, Bruce meets Barry from the future as he tries to make contact with him from a different point in time to deliver a warning. And it looks like this sequence will be quite long considering the run time in the trailer itself.
