The Joseon Exorcist drama revolves around a historical and supernatural setting. It revolves around the northern region of Joseon where prince Lee Bang Won is patrolling. He is a person who faces evil spirits. Lee Bang Won sealed the spirit that dominates humans. He was the one who ascended the throne and had chosen the title of king of Taejong. Lee Bang Won is a pretty strong king and remains level-headed most of the time.

He is a man who is quite proud because he helped his father in founding the Joseon dynasty. Lee Bang was also devastated about the loss of life during the establishment of the dynasty. He felt guilty for the lives of the people he paid for during the entire construction. The problem occurs when the evil spirit that he has sealed for a long time begins to appear and arrives throughout Joseon territory. The spirit forced the king to do battle with his nemesis once again.

Lee Bang Won (King Taejong) is the father of two different sons. The name of the king’s son was the crown prince who was Yangnyeong and the second prince was named Chungnyung. The second prince was only interested in pursuing his academic base. They suddenly faced a crisis because the evil spirit was free. The second prince Chungnyeong joined the war eagerly to protect the people of their kingdom.

Crown Prince Yangnyeong has a very confident approach to his government. One thing that kept nagging and worrying her was the fact that her father would never realize her potential. No matter how hard she worked on herself or the deeds she had done, she could never live up to her father’s expectations. On the other side of the king, Taejong has a deep desire to crown the crown prince of Yangnyeong. He wants his older son to take over the throne and succeed in government. Yangnyeong needed strength much more and it turned out that because of greed he chose to lock a contract with an evil spirit.

It must be seen what will happen how Yangnyeong will be the main reason for the fall of the kingdom how the evil spirits will be destroyed.

Joseon Exorcist Release Date

Joseon Exorcist is an upcoming South Korean series which will be released in 2021. The drama is directed by Shin Kyung Soo and the script is presented by Park Kye Ok. The drama Joseon Exorcist will be released on March 22, 2021 and will be aired on May 11, 2021. This is one of the most awaited historical horror series this year. The series will premiere on SBS TV. Also, this can be seen on different networks such as Viu and Viki.

The odds of a series being released on Netflix are zero. Netflix will not premiere the drama on their network. Other places to watch this drama are Dramacool and telegram. You can watch dramas on both networks without problems. This drama tells the story of the life of King Taejong who is the ruler of the Joseon dynasty. The dynasty was taken over by evil spirits and how his son saved the dynasty’s people from evil spirits. Also how the crown prince will create chaos in his family and royal life. The availability of the drama will become clear once it is released on the original network.

In my opinion, this drama will be average in the ratings section. History and horror is not everyone’s cup of tea. Not everyone has a keen interest in historical drama. The execution looks interesting and the plot is to be expected too. This is something different when it comes to plot but distinctive when it comes to the horror section. There are a total of 16 episodes. Also, the series is neither too long nor too short. The duration of each episode is about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Personally, this drama looks interesting because of the plot and concept of evil spirits that can only be judged after getting a green signal and being released on SBS TV. Overall, in-depth reviews will be shared after the drama is released.

Expected plot

The plot of the Joseon Exorcist series revolves around the life of the kingdom and its people. It seems like changing Lee Bang Won’s life. He was given northern territory in the Joseon Dynasty. He has taken control of the place. At first, he patrolled, and then he became a prince. He is the one who took over the evil spirit and sealed it so as not to harm the people in his kingdom. Lee Bang Won is the person chosen as the heir to the throne. He chose to be called the king of Taejon. The story will be seen from when Prince Lee Bang-Won of Joseon patrolled the northern region, he encountered an evil spirit. The Spirit wants to dominate humans and dominate them. Prince Lee Bang-Won was able to seal spirits and take them from evil spirits.

After that, the powerful Lee Bang-Won took the title of King Taejong (Kam Woo-Sung). The king will appear level-headed and calm. King Taejong is proud to be part of the plan he helped his father. However, at some point, he felt guilty for the deaths of people during the founding of the Joseon Dynasty. The whole plot will change when the evil spirit sealed by the king builds his feet on the land of Joseon. In order to save the royal people, the king will have to fight against spirits and destroy evil this time.

Plot continuation

This will be the basic plot with the addition of the two sons of the king of Taejon. The story will introduce his sons whose first is Crown Prince Yangnyeong (Park Sung-Hoon) and another prince is Chungnyung (Jang Dong-Yoon). Chungnyung (Jang Dong-Yoon) is only interested in academics, he is not interested in the government and the kingdom. Because of this, he has to change course because of the evil crisis that has suddenly occurred in Joseon.

He fights evil spirits to save the people of Joseon. The plot changes again when crown prince Yangnyeong is in a misunderstanding with his father’s behavior against the kingdom to win the crown and shakes hands with evil spirits. Even though King Taejong really wanted to make Yangnyeong the next crown holder. Because of the misunderstanding and greed for power, Yangnyeong made the wrong decision. On top of that, he will be seen causing a lot of trouble for the people of Joseon over his crown.

In my opinion, the plot will turn into dirty politics and power greed. Crown prince Yangnyeong will continue to make wrong decisions that will affect the dynasty and the government. More than that, his younger brother will prove to be a savior and he will work to save people from the destruction of evil spirits. Overall this drama will be interesting but boring at some point. People who love history and like to read about it will have a greater interest.

The main attraction of this plot is horror. This will accumulate a larger number of views. Overall this series does look healthy and full of conspiracy and death.
