Plot and Trailer For Irul
The official synopsis that Netflix has released for Irul talks about a sophisticated dark story. It begins with a dark, rainy night in an abandoned house. Two couples and an unidentified man are stranded. The cat and mouse game begins when they find a corpse in the basement. Apart from that, the recent trailer released by Netflix gives us more insight into “Irul”. There is quite a history behind the house.
Fahadh Faasil’s character on Netflix’s Irul talks about a novel he has written over the years. Shows a true story about someone who killed 5-6 years ago. The trailer further delves into the motives of the killer they were talking about. As stated, the novelist did not clearly tell the motive of the killer.
Next, the trailer teases something more sinister in the basement of the house. Soubin Shahir’s character found him. On the one hand, we can see that he is losing his mind. There is a chase and run sequence. Who killed whom, everything remains a mystery. Not much has been revealed yet. There is a tendency to create tension around the story. Who or what makes murderers do these things remains to be seen. Plus, motif is perhaps the most important element in shaping a plot. The story may be based around it and a lot will be revealed as we watch the Netflix thriller film.
Also note, Netflix’s Irul brings some horror here and there. All the lights off and on and lots of stuff. Ultimately, however, it was ultimately based on the “whodunnit” element. We may see Fahadh Fassil’s partner and character contradicting each other. Especially when they found the body in the basement. How it all turns out remains to be seen. It might also remind you of the Hollywood Thriller “Identity” starring John Cusack. Not the story but the setting is similar in one way.
